OUR CAUSE
The Nanih Waiya Community has come together and built a beautiful park and community center. We are extremely proud of the fact that phase one of this major community driven project was completed without any government funding or influence and is one of the only privately funded community parks in rural America.
The Peggy Stokes Community Center is used on a regular basis for community meetings, family gatherings and celebrations. Our state-of-the-art playground is being enjoyed by the youngest members of our community and our quarter-mile walking track, which will rival any other, is being utilized daily by all age groups.
MAKE A DONATION
With your help, we can maintain this beautiful park and community center and also pay for improvements and events. In addition to general maintenance cost for cleaning the community center and bathrooms as well as keeping the grounds up, we are currently pursuing several projects that need funding, including improving the walking track around the lake.
