The Peggy Stokes Community Center serves as an indoor meeting space for groups of up to 200 people. It can accommodate 100 seated with tables and chairs, 125 Auditorium style and 200 people standing. It comes equipped with a full kitchen, which allows for storage and serving of food during events. Rental of the community center includes usage of the band stand and Marion Hizaw Gazebo and pier, which is often used as a backdrop for weddings. The community center is at the center of Nanih Waiya Community Park, a 20-acre property with luscious greens, a beautiful lake and fountain, framed by a natural forest. The park can accommodate events up to 1,000 people.
TO RENT THE COMMUNITY CENTER, simply chose the rental type, date and time and submit your deposit. Once it is approved, you will receive an email with a confirmation. All balances are due at least three weeks prior to the rental to avoid cancellation. Weddings require a minimum two-day rental which usually runs from noon on Friday to noon on Sunday.
The $50 security deposit will be returned following a positive inspection after the rental. The $100 security deposit for One-Day Rentals and Two-Day Rentals will apply to the $100 cleaning fee. Rental hours are 7am to 10pm (park closes at 10pm). Please have the building cleaned and ready to be locked at 10pm.
AN ADDITIONAL FEE WILL BE CHARGED TO YOU IF THE COMMUNITY CENTER IS LEFT UNCLEAN OR IF DAMAGE IS DONE TO THE COMMUNITY CENTER OR THE PARK.

NO ALCOHOL is permitted on the Park property, except for private events. Nothing is to be placed on the community center walls, except where hooks are already present. Renter is expected to take trash to the dumpster, sweep the floors, clean tables and chairs, and return tables and chairs to the storage room.
Three-Hour Rentals are not accepted more than two months in advance.
